Hearing Update

Its been a month since Tyler's surgery so we went in to see if it has helped his hearing at all. Unfortunately he still has a borderline hearing loss. Most likely its nerve damage and there really isn't anything they can do, and its not bad enough to really pursue any other options anyway. They said if it starts affecting his learning he can have a speaker and his teachers can talk into a microphone or he can sit at the front of the class. Right now it really doesn't seem to be affecting school so we will just let him go. We are just hoping it won't get worse as he gets older.

Potty Training

Well we are going to try again to potty train Nolan and I figured we might as well try Livi at the same time. So far they are doing well, but we still have some accidents here and there. Olivia seems to be picking it up a little faster, but she doesnt like to be wet, whereas Nolan doesn't seem to care. Nolan really seems to like chocolate chips however. Hopefully this time it will stick!

Check-ups!

Nolan and Olivia had their 2 and 3 year check-ups. I was worried since this will be with a n doctor but they are both doing great. Either Nolan jumped up in height or they measure different because he is now in the 50th percentile. Olivia is still pretty petite all around. They both did great for letting the doctor check them out and Nolan even peed in a cup for the doctor. The new pediatrician has 4 kids as well, so he doesn't seem to notice all the craziness of the kids which was nice. Glad to have healthy kids!

Back to School for Mama

Now back to school for mama. I am going back to start getting my pre-requisites for nursing school. Its going to be tough juggling school and 4 kids, but because of Justin's help I know I can do it. He comes home and I pretty much leave and then he is in charge of homework, dinner, baths, etc. I am so blessed to be married to this man who is willing to make sacrifices so I can go back to school.

Back to School NIght

I got to go to back to school night for both boys. Both of their teachers seem great and they use the same math curriculum as the old school, so I think they should do great. It also seems like the school does a lot of fun things like Cookies and Canvas, family movie nights, fun runs, etc. I really think it will be a great year and so far we are very impressed with their new school. This makes the move so much easier!

Nolan's B-day Celebration

With the first day of school falling on Nolan's birthday, we celebrated the day before. He got a new bike and a Lightening McQueen cake. Happy Birthday buddy!

Oma and Opa Visit

We had a great visit with Oma and Opa. Besides family fun day, the kids had great times visiting with them. Justin and I also got a date night to finally get to celebrate our anniversary. The babies had fun giggling and cuddling and the boys had fun playing games and legos. We can't wait to see them again at Christmas!

Olivia's B-day Celebration

For Olivia's Birthday Justin had made her a new play kitchen. She loved it! She also got a Mickey Mouse cake, some new games, and her favorite some balloons!

First Day of School

The boys had their first day of school! I can't believe I had a first grader and second grader. The boys get to ride the bus this year which they are very excited about. Opa and I walked to boys to the bus stop and Justin drove behind us. Oma stayed behind with the babies. The boys got on the bus just fine and didnt seem nervous at all. Opa went home and Justin and I followed the bus to schools. The boys got off the bus and knew just where to go. They happily stood in line and then in with their classes. Justin and I then went to a new parents meeting where we got introduced to the principal and got to ask any questions we had. When the day was over I picked the boys up from the bus stop They said they did fine finding thier bus and bth said they had great first days. We went out to eat that night to celebrate both Nolan's birthday and their first day of school. Here is to another successful year!

Three Years Old

Three Years Old! Nolan you have grown so much this year! You have worked so hard on talking better and you are doing great! You are such a sweet little boy, always every accommodating to our crazy family! You are quite the daredevil, climbing
on everything you can. You love to go to the zoo and see all the animals. Your favorite thing in the whole world however are cars. You could play with your cars for hours on end. Coming in a close second are your brothers and little sis. You love to do whatever your brothers are doing and you take such good care of you little sister. We love your crazy hair, your best hugs, your silly smile, and you Nolan Isaac! Happy Birthday!!

Strawser Family Fun Day

Oma and Opa are in town and so are BJ and Abbi with Toby and Norah! We had one big Strawser Family Fun day down at Todd and Jessie's new house. Oma and Opa rented a bounce house and we played a lot of water games. Then all the cousins just had a great time running around outside playing together. Of course we had to get some pictures of everyone together. It isnt often that we all get together, but I hope the kids remember these days and how much fun we always have together.

Meet the Teachers

The boys got to go to school to meet their teachers. Oma and Opa are in town so Oma stayed home with the babies and Opa came with us. We went and met Carter's teacher, Mrs Durante, first. She seems really nice and already knew that Carter is new to the school. He will sit by another student who is also new to the school. Carter seems to like his classroom and talked to hs teacher just fine. Next we went to Tyler's class, Mrs Hibbs. I reminded her that Tyler was new. She also seemed really nice and it was nice to see that one of our neighborhood girls was in his class as well. Tyler was a little nervous but also talked to his teacher. The boys classes are pretty close to each other as well, so that is fun for the, I think it will be a great year!

Livi's 2 Year Birthday Montage

Two Years Old

I can't believe you are two Olivia! You truly live up to your name and bring us so much joy! You have grown so much this year. You speak in full sentences and love to sing songs. You also love to play dress up and wear your dresses. However you do not like getting your hair combed or doing anything else to it. You love to be outside and try your hardest to keep up with your brothers. You adore your brothers, they can make you laugh more than anyone else. Especially Nolan, who
you are always near. If you want a drink, you also get Nolan a drink. It is very sweet. You love your baby doll and have named her Baby Kira (from the neighbor girl nest door), however your biggest obsession is Minnie Mouse. Its almost as Minnie is your security blanket, crying to watch Minnie or hold your Minnie doll whenever you are sad or hurt.  You love your daddy and run t him the moment he comes home every day. You had a great time n your first trip with just mommy to Michigan and you transitioned to or new house your new big girl bed, and a ton of other new firsts with no problem at all. You can make every smile when you go your duck face and you are always there to give a hug or a cuddle. We love you Olivia and Joy and can't wait to watch you grow!
