First Lost Tooth

Carter finally lost his first tooth! He has been waiting since Tyler lost his first tooth at 5 years old. He was so excited! The tooth fairy came and gave him a dollar, He lost it in the morning so he was very excited to show everyone at school. Even though he didn't lose it at school they still let him go down and get a sticker and pencil. Exciting days around here.

Dentist Appt

All four kids ha dentist appointment today. I was pretty proud of myself as I took them all at once by myself. All of the kids did great. Once again no cavities!! Nolan went by himself and let the dentit clean his teeth and everything. Olivia stayed with me, but did much better than ast time. They cleaned her teeth and even got some fluoride on them. They think Carter will be losing his teeth soon. Tyler will go back in a few day to get some sealants, but no other issues.

Livi

Oh Olivia. Here is Justin's facebook status about her latest drama:
Olivia didn't want to go to bed tonight and screamed her head off for a good 30 minutes to let us know. First she went with "Owie, owie, owie" for about 15 minutes until she resigned herself to the fact that we weren't buying it. Then she switched to "Change me, change me, change me". She was so committed to the change me line that we found her 90 minutes later sleeping on the changing pad on top of the dresser butt naked. Her Pull Up was on the floor completely dry

Nolan's Stories

Nolan is always telling stories and I love to hear them. He has the cutest little voice and I love what he comes up with. Its always about how monster are chasing him or how animals escaped the zoo and as the zoo keeper he has to catch them. If he isn't telling me the stories he is playing wit his car. The other morning he was playing "traffic".  He had to line up every care he could find. Love this boy.

Singing

One of my favorite parts of every day in putting the kids to bed. It means we finally have some quiet! It alo means I get to sing them whike Justin outs them in their pjs. With work and school I dont get to do it as much as I would like, so I love the nights I get to. Both kids sing abcs now and they also love wheels on the bus.  Livi now requests me to sing her her song, Isnt She Lovely. Love my babies!

Tumbling

On Tuesday mornings while Nolan is in preschool, we put Olivia back in tumbling. She absolutely loves it and asks everyday if she gets to go to gymnastics. Her favorite is the trampoline. She also loves when we play music at the end, but she isn't so great stretching at the beginning. She does really well hanging on the bar and swinging on the rings. She can also walk on the balance beam both forwards and backwards. Love having this one on one time with my baby girl.

Preschool Registration

I can not believe it, but today I registered both Nolan and Olivia for preschool for next year. I can not believe all my kids will be at school for at least some mornings every week next year. We are switching preschools. I am hoping this one may do a little more stuff academic, but its also only 3 hours instead of 4, which helps with the price. Nolan will be going Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and Livi will go Tuesday and Thursday. My babies are growing up!

Park Fun

The weather has been nice so we are taking advantage of it and going to some parks. Over winter break we hit up both some small park and the kids favorite big park. I love watching all four of them playing together so well. Makes my heart happy.

Zoo!

Over winter break the kids and I headed to the zoo. We had a great time seeing the polar bears and the seals. The kids also love the elephant exhibits there. We also got to see a new baby monkey which Livi loved.  We didn't stay as long as they wanted to, but with all four kids it can get a little crazy by myself. This zoo is so much bigger than the one in the Springs so I am a little more on high alert at this zoo. Either way we had fun and the kids cant wait to go again!

Reading

Carter has never been a fan of reading. He went into Kindergarten ahead, but by then end of K was pretty much at the same place he was at the beginning. He was still right where he should be at the beginning of first grade, but they are worried he maybe falling behind some, so he is getting some extra help. Within the past couple weeks his reading has taken off. We are hoping this will continue and more importantly that he will grow into having a love of reading.

Sledding

We finally got some good snow on a weekend, so Justin took the older boys sledding. There i a good hill by the library and the boys had a blast. I think they went for over an hour just up and down the hill. Of course Justin let them get hot chocolate on the way home, which is always a special treat. I am glad we found a good sledding place and hopefully next time the babies can join in the fun as well.

New years Eve

We had a nice quiet New Years Eve. We went to dinner early and then game home. After we put the babies to bed the boys and Justin and I played some Phase Ten. It was the boys first time playing but they picked it up pretty quick and seemed to enjoy it. The boys went to bed around 9:00 and I don't think Justin or I made it to midnight. Oh how times change with children.
