Big Girl Bed

When we moved in we decided to just put Livi in a big girl bed. She already climbs out of her crib anyway. So far she has done well. Its really not a novelty to get out of her room, since she already does that. With all the excitement of moving and all new things everyday, both babies have actually gone to bed fairly easily lately. Hopefully it will continue and I can not believe I don't have anyone in a crib any more!

New Ways to Play

The kids are loving living on the cul-de-sac. They can ride their bikes all day or ride on their scooters and really not worry about cars or anything. The neighbors are great - we met 6 of them as we were moving in, and all seem to look out for our kids. There are also 3 or 4 kids right about Tyler and Carter's age so they are starting to get to know them. In our backyard we also have a swing, which Livi loves. Olivia has always hated swinging, but for some reason she can't get enough of this one.

New Park

We are getting used to our new house and neighborhood and so we decided to check out the park close to our house. The kids love it, there are plenty of things to climb on and a little "river" for them to play in. There are also some fountains to play in as well. It doesn't have any swings, which while the kids miss, I don't mind. There are plenty of other parks around with swings so if I can go to one without hearing "push me" every 5 seconds I am fine!

Last Day of School

We came back down to the Springs for one last day for the boys last day of school. It was nice as Justin and I could finish up some more cleaning and get things like some windows replaced. The boys seemed to have a lot of fun on their last day and didn't seem to sad when we picked them up. I then went home with the babies while Justin took the boys to their last swim lessons. We have been pretty happy with King Elementary and are proud of how much they have learned there. The boys have had some great teachers and most importantly, for the most part, they love going to school.

The Move

The move is done, the old house is cleaned and ready for our renters, and we are getting settled into the new house. The last night at our old house was toughest for me I think. That is the house we brought all our kids home too, saw them take their first steps, and say their first words and millions of other memories. However I know its the right time to go make some new firsts on our next adventure. Justin's parents came up and were a huge help. Nana watched the babies and Bapa helped load the truck. We also had a ton of friends both in the Springs and up here helping us load and unload. It went much quicker than we thought. Nana and Bapa also stayed a day and watched the kids so we could clean out the old house and do some painting. They also helped us unpack, which was a nice surprise. So far the kids seem to love the cul-de-sac and we are starting to find our way around. Hopefully it will start to feel like home soon.

Moving

Well we finally are here and are moving to Highlands Ranch. Justin has been great doing the majority of the packing in the evening as I can't get much done with the babies at home during the day. So far everyone seems to be handling it well. We did get our first tears when we should the trampoline, Our new yard really isn't big enough for it, but we promised the boys as soon as we get a bigger yard it will be out first purchase. The trampoline has always been something Justin and the boys do - they will go out there and all jump together and have a blast. We will all miss it for sure. Besides that, we have our renters set up, a house in Highlands Ranch waiting for us and we are ready to go.

Last MOPs

I had my last MOPs at First Pres. Let's just say I cried, a lot. MOPs has been my saving grace for the past three years and I have learned so much about myself and about this journey of motherhood. While I am so sad to leave all these wonderful women, the break I get every week, all the laughter and encouragement, I walk away feeling so thankful. I am so thankful I joined MOPs, then got to join the ministry team and help lead our MOPs group. I am a better mom because of MOPs, this is for sure. I know I am never on this journey alone and while I will never be the perfect mom, I am the perfect mom for my kids.

Sleep Issues

The babies have not been sleeping well. Olivia has learned to climb out of her crib. Now they both come out repeatedly throughout the night - up to three hours after bed time. They also are not napping as well either. This does not help with all the packing we need to get done. The one good thing about having the older boys is I know this is just a phase and will end. In the mean time I am one tired mama!

Mothers Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day with my wonderful little family In the morning we all went to church, came home where I had a chocolate cake waiting for me, and then we all went miniature golfing together. Livi and Nolan really didn't understand it, but it was fun anyway. Olivia keptsaying over and over its "mommy day!" Love all my little loves!

Oh Livi

My little girl is something else. Justin and I were downstairs just hoping she would stay in bed. Ever since she learned to climb out of her crib its been a free for all. At 9:30, 2 hours after bed time we hear her in the kitchen, I go up to find her on the counter, She had opened the dishwasher, got a clean sippy cup out of it, then used the door as a ladder and sat on the counter, She then poured y left over Sonic slushie into her cup and was drinking it. Good thing she is cute!

Kindergarten Graduation

Well he did it. Carter graduated Kindergarten! Justin took off work to watch his little ceremony. It was pretty similar to Tyler's, but they did a few new songs. When Carter got up to say what he wanted to be when he grew up he said "a scientist". After the ceremony
we went back to his room where his teacher gave out a few more awards and then he stayed the rest of the day with his friends. He still has one more of day of school on Monday as well to see everyone. We are so proud of his hard work this year and he had a great Kindergarten year!
