Getting Big

Olivia is getting bigger everyday. She has learned to pull her self up in her crib and that quickly changed to pulling herself up onto anything.  So we had to lower her crib. She loves eating her solids and has started eating puffs, bananas,  and other baby crackers. At church they have to put her in an exersaucer sometimes just so that she will leave the other kids along. She loves to pull off all the tags on all the kids backs. I can't believe how fast she is picking things up and how quickly these months are going with her!

Love....

Just a little video that makes my heart burst every time I see it....

Sick Boy

We have had a sick household the last couple of weeks. I though Nolan was just teething - irritable, coughing, lots of snot, and a low fever. However he got tired all the time, his fever wouldn't go away and he just wasn't acting himself so I took him to the doctor.  He was wheezing and not doing very well. They did his pulse ox, which was only in the 80's. They gave him a breathing treatment and that brought the pulse ox back to 95 so they sent us home with our own nebulizer and a RSV diagnosis. Nolan did not like the breathing treatments at all, and we had to give them to him round the clock every 4 hours,. By the end of the day I think he decided they weren't so bad and stopped fighting us as much. We had to go back the next day to recheck his pulse ox, which luckily was now in the 90's again, however now he had a double ear infection. A week later he still had a fever so he was out on yet another antibiotic for that.

Between all of Nolan's ear infections and everything Olivia also had a mild case of RSV and was put on breathing treatments, along with an ear infections for her. Luckily it wasn't nearly as bad for her, because if it was we would have ended up in the hospital. Hoping everyone stays healthy for a while now!

Check-ups!

I had Nolan's 18 month and Olivia's 6 month check- up together. They are both doing great.  We started with Nolan first and she is glad that Nolan is in speech, as he is still very behind, but in all the other areas he is right where he should be. She however thinks it may be a little early to say he has speech apraxia (what his speech therapist thinks he has) because he is still so young. The doctor's hope is that we will be seeing improvement at his two year checkup. He did just fine with his shots and is a very healthy boy!
His stats are - 22.7 lbs, 11%; 31 inches tall, 15% and his head circumference is in the 1 percentile. He may be small, but at least he is proportionate!
Olivia is also just perfect. She is right where she should be in all areas and even ahead in a couple of them. The doctor thinks she will be walking into her 9 month appointment. She seems perfectly healthy and the doctor had zero concerns. She also handled her shots much better than the previous ones so that was a relief! So blessed to have such healthy kiddos!
Her stats are  - 15 lbs, 25%; 26 inches, 54% and her head is in the 4%.

Sun and Snow!

It has been a crazy winter here, where we have hardly gotten any snow at all and spring like temperatures. So we headed to the park to let Tyler practice on his bike some. Of course the camera battery died right after we got there, but I did get a picture of Olivia swinging in the big swing for the first time, Tyler took up right where we left off and is getting better at riding the two wheeler (just wish he could practice without us going to the park). Nolan loved climbing on everything all by himself and going down all the slides (even the highest ones). Carter had fun between running around and riding his scooter.

Last week we finally got some snow. Enough snow for the kids to have a snow day and Justin to stay home as well. Justin tried to take the big boys sledding. However along with all the snow we also had lots of wind. The wind blew most of the snow off the hill so Tyler had to scoot himself down it. When Carter tried to go down the hill his sled would blow away from him. Needless to say it wasn't that fun. But hey at least Justin got a few pictures right?

Siblings

I love watching my kids play together  - there isn't much better in the world. Usually its Tyler and Carter pairing off and then Carter and Nolan play some during the day and Tyler and Carter both love to cuddle with Olivia whenever they get a chance. More and more everyday Nolan is also paying more attention to Olivia and bringing her toys (of course sometimes this also leads to him hitting her with said toy). The other day however took the cake. All four of my babies playing together..perfection.

Crawling!

A little video to show off Olivia's newest moves!

Another day, another mess....

Nolan..what can I say - your are an opportunist. Tyler and Carter love making their own lunches and they are usually quite good at cleaning everything up when they are done. However this day Tyler did not put away the jelly and you thought that would make a perfect snack...I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

Yummy jelly!

Jelly everywhere....

Here I will put the top back on for you

This is so fun!!!!

I have to take a bath now huh?

And one last look at the arm just to see how far I put my arm into the jar....

6 months!

Half way to a year - no way! Miss Livi you are getting big way too fast! You have mastered getting around. Between rolling, scooting, and army crawling if you want to get somewhere you get there. You also get on all fours and rock back and forth and have started full-on crawling a little bit. You also get into a sitting position by yourself and just today (when you are just 6 days past 6 months) you pulled yourself up in your crib!!!When you are sitting up you do a great job at it and love to play this way now. You also still love your exsersaucer, but not so much your swing any more. You are eating solids like a champ and so far you seem to like everything you have tried. You also got you two bottom teeth this month and besides a lot of drooling and a couple nights of waking up, they pushed through with no issues. As far as sleep, you are still a champ. On the best days you take two long naps in your crib and then a short nap that usually happens in your car seat as we are picking up or dropping off one of your brothers. You and Nolan can now go to bed at the same time. We lay you both down in your separate cribs, give yo a little butt pat and we can walk out and you fall asleep! You don't however like to do this routine when daddy has to put you to bed himself, I think you already know he is a softie when it comes to you. The only time you get really cranky is if you get overtired and then unfortunately you just have to cry yourself to sleep - nothing else will settle you down. We try not to let this happen and get you down before you get overtired. We love you Little Livi. We love your smiles whenever we walk into the room, your giggles that you always give your daddy and brothers, and love watching you learn new things everyday. However if you want to slow down a little and stay my cuddly little baby girl a while longer I wouldn't mind. Happy 6 months baby girl!!!
